EXPLORING COLORADO’S MOUNTAIN TRAILS,
IT NEVER MATTERED YOU WERE PASSED BY SNAILS.
A FAMILY VESSEL – TO DESTINATIONS NOT ALWAYS KNOWN,
THE BIG BLUE BLAZER, WITH US YOU HAD FOUND A HOME.
WE JOKED WITH EACH TRIP TO BUENA VISTA
THAT WE WERE GOING TO STAY
– I GUESS MY FUN TRUCK, IT JUST FELT THE SAME WAY.
ONCE LAST TRIP TO MT PRINCETON, YOUR ENGINE OUT.
MY HEART SANK A LITTLE AND I WANTED TO SHOUT.
TEARS FROM THE GIRLS, AND A GOODBYE PAT FROM MICK.
TO SEE YOU GO, IT MADE US A BIT SICK.
WE FOUND YOU A NEW HOME, THE TRUSTY “K5”,
IN CHAFFEE COUNTY YOU’LL ROAM, BUMP, BOUNCE AND DRIVE.
THANKS FOR GETTING US THROUGH THE MUD AND THE MUCK,
WE’LL ALWAYS REMEMBER ADVENTURES,
IN “DADDY’S BIG TRUCK.”
MICK – KYLEE – GRACIE

THIS WAS A WONDERFUL TIME IN MY LIFE, A LIFE THAT AT TIMES HAS BEEN ANYTHING BUT EASY OF LATE, BUT I HOPE TO ONE DAY ONCE AGAIN OWN A K5 BLAZER! THE LAST K5 BLAZER I HAD (I’VE HAD A COUPLE) WAS A 1991 CHEVROLET SILVERADO EDITION K5 BLAZER. I HAD MADE A CUSTOM SOFT TOP FOR THE BACK. THIS TRUCK AND TIME OF MY LIFE WAS BLISS WHEN MY GIRLS WERE YOUNG AND WE HAD SO MUCH FUN ON DAY TRIPS, CAMPING, PARADES, PICNICS, AND SO MUCH MORE. I HAD TO LEAVE MY BELOVED TRUCK IN BUENA VISTA COLORADO WHEN IT BROKE DOWN ON A FAMILY CAMPING TRIP. UNFORTUNATELY I COULD NOT COME UP WITH THE VERY EXPENSIVE TOW FEE BACK TO DENVER. I HAVE REGRETTED THAT DAY EVER SINCE. I BREIFLY SAW MY EXACT TRUCK COME UP FOR SALE ON CRAIGSLIST IN EARLY 2023 IN FALCON COLORADO BUT I WAS NOT ABLE TO RESPOND IN TIME. I WOULD LOVE A SIMILAR K5. I APPRECIATE EVERYTHING ABOUT THESE TRUCKS AND IT WOULD BRING BACK SO MANY GOOD MEMORIES TO A LIFE, THAT HAS BECOME CHALLENGING IN OTHER REGARDS. I AM LOCATED IN GRAND JUNCTION COLORADO NOW, BUT IF YOU HAVE AN APPRECIATION FOR THESE VEHICLES AND COME ACROSS ONE FOR SALE SOMEWHAT AFFORDABLY I WOULD BE SO APPRECIATIVE.
THANK YOU AND TAKE CARE. MICK
